SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE, USA – FINANCIAL SERVICES

JOB DESCRIPTION

Berkeley is seeking a US based, Senior Sales Executive to drive the growth of branded payment solutions in the field of banking & insurance. The Senior Sales Executive will lead / participate in all aspects of the sales cycle, including generating leads, driving opportunities, manage prospect relationships, and close new business, as well as retain and grow key clients. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset to identify and reach prospects and an individual who has experience in B2B sales.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute sales territory plan to meet / exceed monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Develop pipeline in sales territory through prospecting, meeting, attending conferences/events, calling, and email
  • Provide sales territory analysis and insight, accurate and timely data within the Sales CRM system, and accurate forecasting
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the insurance industry as well as nurturing potential customer accounts to develop relationships
  • Schedule and lead customer introductions and meetings
  • Leverage LinkedIn and Salesforce to promote company services and generate new prospects
  • Ability to listen to and interpret customer requirements, build knowledge of customer challenges, and present solutions that directly apply to customer needs
  • Create and deliver sales presentations
  • Measure the outcomes of different messaging and contact approaches and adapt to continuously improve results
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on services offered by the company and its competitors
  • Participate in team meetings to keep the company up-to-date on sales and marketing efforts
  • Positively represent the company and provide excellent customer service
  • Travel as needed (typically for large prospects that are well qualified)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in successful B2B sales and/or account management experience, including 3-5 years of industry experience in insurance or payments
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a focus in Sales, Marketing, or Business is preferred
  • Strong network in the insurance industry within territory with proven ability to close enterprise accounts
  • Successful sales track record with the ability to provide documented results
  • Experience using a CRM software as part of the sales process, specifically Salesforce experience is an asset

The Sales Executive is responsible for net-new client acquisitions in North America. Net-new acquisition is expected to be achieved by prospecting for new business and by identifying and, developing customer-focused solutions. S/he will develop and implement strategic sales  plans that result in demonstrated revenue growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. The Sales Executives success in acquiring, managing and growing a client base will be rewarded with a strong base salary plus a commission-based incentive compensation package.

  • Responsible for enterprise sales by selling a complex product suite across an entire organization.

We are seeking an experienced full-stack .NET Developer with a passion for building scalable, predictable, high-quality, high performance web and middleware solutions. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of major features for Berkeley’s branded money platform that services customers and cardholders.

This position requires you to collaborate on requirements, produce appropriate software designs, generate development tasks, and work with the team to implement the solution.

The Senior .NET Developer reports to the Director, Software Development and will be a part of a small, experienced, delivery-oriented development team. This is a full-time position located at Berkeley offices in downtown Toronto.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with product management to clarify and refine requirements.
  • Prepare detailed system designs to meet requirements.
  • Implement high-quality solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure system compliance to financial services regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years development experience with .NET and SQL Server.
  • Experience with C#, MVC, ASP.NET, AngularJS, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.

  • Experience with testing frameworks such as NUnit or Microsoft Test Framework.
