SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Berkeley is seeking a results-oriented Sales Development Representative (SDR) to perform account-based development. As part of the Sales team, the SDR will leverage the latest tools and techniques to develop target accounts. Success will be measured in appointments scheduled on behalf of a team of Sales Executives and discovery of new sales opportunities.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with high social intelligence and a natural inclination for selling, who understands the value of research and the importance of personalizing value propositions and messaging to target contacts. He or she is highly driven and values the benefits of being part of an agile growing team.

There are four core elements of the Berkeley SDR role:

  • Research and develop insights on target accounts
  • Orchestrate account strategy plays; email, phone calls, and social selling to target contacts
  • Measure results and refine outreach accordingly
  • Set-up qualified appointments on behalf of the Sales Executives

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert on Berkeley’s value propositions and messaging
  • Identify buyer personas and influencers within target accounts
  • Leverage LinkedIn and Salesforce to prospect into accounts
  • Set up and refine account plans with Sales Executives & Marketing counterparts
  • Create and refine strategic efforts for outbound prospecting
  • Perform qualification calls, using the BANT qualification method to validate or invalidate a potential customer buying scenario
  • Facilitate a successful partnership to track down new buying opportunities with Sales Executives, for discovery calls and expansion meetings
  • Ability to navigate large & complex potential customer Accounts to initiate conversations & relationships
  • Measure the outcomes of different messaging and contact approaches and adapt to continuously to improve results

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2-7 years of relevant experience in a B2B technology/software environment preferred
  • 4-year degree mandatory; a specialization in English, Marketing, or Business a plus
  • Salesforce experience a must

CANDIDATE MUST BE:

  • Strong writing abilities, in particular crafting relevant communications that engage senior executives
  • Strong research, organizational, and time management skills

SALES EXECUTIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Executive is responsible for net-new client acquisitions in North America. Net-new acquisition is expected to be achieved by prospecting for new business and by identifying and, developing customer-focused solutions. S/he will develop and implement strategic sales  plans that result in demonstrated revenue growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. The Sales Executives success in acquiring, managing and growing a client base will be rewarded with a strong base salary plus a commission-based incentive compensation package.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for enterprise sales by selling a complex product suite across an entire organization.
  • Aggressively source prospects; develop and close new business within assigned market segment(s) and assigned existing client list.
  • Maintain effective lines of communication between the client and Berkeley to ensure our clients achieve and exceed their goals!
  • Meet/exceed assigned revenue targets from new clients within the assigned vertical.
  • Be accountable for moving prospects continuously forward in the sales pipeline.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience selling marketing, product acquisition, and/or selling incentive concepts to Marketing, Human Resource, Sales to VP’s and Senior Executives.
  • Payments industry experience is considered an important asset.

  • Background in Financial Services may be a strong asset.

CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Client Service Manager serves as a resource for the Client Service team and acts as the front-line contact for Berkeley’s Corporate Clients.  The candidate will be responsible for assisting in delivering pre and post-sales support for key client relationships, assisting in developing programs to identify and exceed client objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming client and cardholder calls and responds or directs accordingly.
  • Work with the Client Service team in the intake of new clients, and the maintenance of client records.
  • Maintain and input client information into system software.
  • Document communication with clients and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with Client Service and the other teams to ensure client needs are met.
  • Highlight any priority items, take initiative in bringing issues to manager and team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bilingual English and French mandatory.
  • College diploma/ University degree (marketing, business admin. or relevant field).

SENIOR .NET DEVELOPER

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced full-stack .NET Developer with a passion for building scalable, predictable, high-quality, high performance web and middleware solutions. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of major features for Berkeley’s branded money platform that services customers and cardholders.

This position requires you to collaborate on requirements, produce appropriate software designs, generate development tasks, and work with the team to implement the solution.

The Senior .NET Developer reports to the Director, Software Development and will be a part of a small, experienced, delivery-oriented development team. This is a full-time position located at Berkeley offices in downtown Toronto.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with product management to clarify and refine requirements.
  • Prepare detailed system designs to meet requirements.
  • Implement high-quality solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure system compliance to financial services regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years development experience with .NET and SQL Server.
  • Experience with C#, MVC, ASP.NET, AngularJS, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
  • Experience developing and integrating systems using REST APIs.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as NUnit or Microsoft Test Framework.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with reactive web and middleware development.
  • Experience with continuous build integration, preferably including Microsoft TFS.
  • A strong understanding of source code control systems and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • A solid understanding of object oriented design and service oriented architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and tools.
  • An awareness of data privacy, security concerns, and possible vulnerabilities.
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team-player.
  • Excellent communications skills.

EDUCATION
